What is the body? That is the question that Eyelight gallery put to a variety of established and less known artists.The answers range from simple representations of people to more abstract conceptual work.The question itself has no answer and is designed only to stimulate a response from the artists. Who offer a wide variety of personal visions of the world around them. From the body as a mask to psychedelic spirit or even pure energy represented by a sinuous sculpture. Others chose the ties that bind us, family, friendship, work the body exists in a network that we cannot fully understand but defines us just as much if not more than our physical presence. The 9 artists involved are: Diego Bonomo, Sara Ciccolini, Elio Di Girolamo, F&M, Francesca Manzini, Isabella Nurigiani, Severina di Palma, Mac Sullivan and Paola Valenzano . F&M although two people prefer to be thought of as one artistic unit.
